• Using the legs to position the pelvis is a simple, comfortable, and accurate technique for IMRT and 3-D CRT prostate treatment.
• Uses the exclusive Opti-Handles for easy repeatability.
The AccuFix IMRT QuickFix Carbon Fiber Pelvis System uses the widely popular leg wedge technique for easy and accurate pelvis target repositioning. This system flattens the lower lumbar for added comfort and repeatability. The QuickFix pelvis system is used with Opti-Handles to secure a wide variety of different shapes and sizes of Aquaplast RT. It also includes a Groin Lock Key for securing Aquaplast between the patient’s legs, and a left and right millimeter scale for easy repositioning.
The Aqua-Belt™ technique uses a specially processes 6-inch-wide belt of low-shrink Aquaplast that covers only the iliac crest spine. This keeps your patient in a reproducible center ‘X’ position while the leg positioning wedge reproduces the ‘Y’ and ‘Z’ coordinates on the iliac crest.
The Aqua-Brief™ technique uses a 30cm x 60cm (12in x 24in) sheet of Aquaplast and a three-point fixation system covering the pelvic region and not the abdomen. Larger sheets of Aquaplast are also available for the pelvis system.. |
