The chart is filled in with measurements taken using the Adjustable Gauge (Item 143-020) or from film density measurements. The grid chart is marked with orientation marks and the location of the compensator tray notch. The standard grid pattern is 17 x 17 - 3/8” squares. The Compensator Grid Chart is aligned to the central axis and the tray notch. An 8 3/4” square of clear film with a sticky back (Item 144-975) is positioned and secured over the central axis on the front of the Compensator Tray. Double Coated Clear Tape (Item 123-110) is placed over the clear film. The correct numbered compensator is placed over the same numbered square (the number in the square is the compensator number from 1 to 10).
When removing the compensators from the tray, peel the 8 3/4” square clear Film (Item 144-975) from the tray first. Then, bend the clear film and tape away from the compensators pieces.
