• Three times more contrast than traditional portal localization radiographs • Improved treatment field verification • Confident beam positioning
Kodak EX-L LW cassettes, used for localization with Kodak EC film, weigh just 4.6 pounds. This dramatic weight reduction is made possible by a design change that replaces a copper plate with a thin lead foil. The new lightweight cassettes preserve tight contact with curved front and back panels and are built with a durable hinge and impact-resistant edges and corners.
A technique chart for portal localization images taken using 4 to 18 MV energies is available. Initial images may be taken using the same techniques currently employed, making adjustments as needed. It is critical that consistent source-to-film distances be used.
