The Kodak X-Omatic L radiation therapy cassette is designed for portal localization where a few monitor units are used for the single or double exposure technique. The lead back screen allows the number of monitor units to be reduced by approximately a factor of two over that required when the lead back screen is not used.

• Use Kodak X-Omat V ready-pack film
The Kodak X-Omatic V radiation therapy cassette is designed for portal verification where the cassette-screen-film system remains beneath the patient for the complete radiation treatment. The plastic back screen produces no additional intensification. Therefore, portal verification radiographs representing a greater range of exit doses can be obtained. Kodak X-Omat V film, for portal verification, has a sensitivity to record a wide range of exit doses.
