The disposable Simon-Heyman Afterloading Applicators are 6 mm in diameter and 31 mm long. They are for use with 3M Heyman Sources*. The locking end of each capsule is threaded to fit the screw-in handle on both the dummy source and the actual source. Each applicator is individually numbered and has a stainless steel obturator. There are 10 disposable afterloading applicators in each package

The Simon-Heyman dummy sources are individually notched at both ends and numbered on the screw-in handle to correspond with each numbered Simon-Heyman disposable applicator.

*Note: 3M Heyman Sources are no longer available.

DISPOSABLE SIMON-HEYMAN APPLICATORS FOR IRIDIUM SOURCES

The Simon-Heyman Disposable Afterloading Applicators are available in the sizes listed below. Each applicator has a Luer fitting, a radio-opaque marker in the tip, a stainless steel obturator, and is individually numbered. These applicators are for use with Iridium-192 ribbons. There are 10 applicators in each package. Color variations for each capsule are due to the material. Optional Luer Caps with a stainless steel crimping insert are available.
