To enable tray detection by the Varian system, you will need to reference the Varian coding guide or consult a certified Varian technician to determine the correct code—this varies depending on the source-to-tray distance (ie. 61.4 cm or 65 cm).
Once the appropriate code is known, use a sharp blade or similar tool to remove the specified numbered sections. This allows the machine’s light sensor to detect the presence of the tray via the open holes, confirming proper tray placement.
